Roles and projects, reverse-chronological. The recruiter version of this lives in my resume.

Nov'in

2025-now · full-time

I'm full-time at Nov'in, the company behind Dati Plus (lone-worker safety solutions). I joined as interim CTO in mid-2025 to help the founders sharpen technical strategy and engineering practices for a 12-person team, then took the role full-time once the fit was clear. Day to day: organisation design, delivery cadence, code quality, and helping the team move from reactive development to outcome-focused iteration.

Grinta

2021-now · co-founder, advisor since late 2025

Co-founded Grinta in late 2021 and led product and engineering as CPTO from day one. We built a SaaS platform for amateur sports clubs and the retailers that equip them: tailored online shops, club-side admin, brand integrations (API and EDI), and 3PL partners for fulfilment. By the time I stepped back into an advisory role in late 2025, Grinta was used daily by 5000+ clubs and a roster of European brands and retailers, including Decathlon Pro, Intersport, Sport 2000, adidas, Kappa, and 11teamsports. I still stay involved in an advisory capacity.

act for sport

2019-2023 · co-founder, CTO · acquired

Co-founded act for sport, an online platform connecting amateur sports clubs with sponsors. As CTO I took the product from spreadsheets to a fully serverless AWS stack, eventually matching 6,000+ clubs with sponsors. The company was acquired in 2023, and the exit helped fund Grinta's growth.

Meal Canteen

2016, 2019-2020 · founding engineer, then CTO

Wrote the first commit in 2016 and built the MVP (Rails, GraphQL, Postgres), then helped hire the first engineers. Came back as CTO in 2019 to lead a team of six engineers and a designer, and we grew daily active users from a few hundred to ~10k while I was there.

Captain Train / Trainline EU

2016-2018 · senior backend engineer

Worked on the main Rails API at Captain Train (acquired by Trainline mid-tenure), mostly payments and fraud, with detours into performance work and the test suite. Led the migration off legacy EU payment systems onto Trainline's payment APIs, including a PSP migration. By the time I left: 3M users, 25k DAU, ~7k requests per minute, 15k payment transactions a day.

Craftsmen

2009-2016 · co-founder, CEO

I co-founded Craftsmen in 2009 and ran it as CEO for seven years. We partnered with 40+ startups to build their web products, sometimes from a blank slate, sometimes joining mid-flight. Most of my hands-on engineering, product, and business chops were forged here.
